Hi Davide,

Exactly what do you mean by "unrolled images"?

The dimension limit of 32K is fixed in the NIfTI-1 format,
since it was based on the ANALYZE format and is located in
the same place in the file. That limit will undoubtedly
disappear if we ever see NIfTI-2, but that does you little
good right now.

It would be helpful if you were clear about exactly what it
is you want to store (to clarify why the 32K limit is a
problem). There is probably a question of which packages
you want to communicate with too, as they would need to be
able to read your data files. Maybe there is a format that
is more appropriate, such as GIfTI.
