Sorry for the delay, I got pulled into other projects.
The sample program compiles and works perfectly. When I build an IDL DLM that calls nifti_image_read(), however, I get this:
** ERROR (nifti_image_read): failed to find header file for 'avg.hdr.gz'
I get this with compressed or uncompressed files, .hdr/.img or .nii. I know that the proper filename is being passed in and that IDL is in the current directory of the file.
I'll keep messing with it but if you have any ideas I'm all ears.
