NIfTI1 in BrainVoyager QX
Conversion to BrainVoyager formats
This page describes how BrainVoyager QX supports the NIfTI 1.1 data format.
The table below describes which conversions can be performed via the BrainVoyager QX conversion plugin.

yes |
- cal_max and cal_min set, dependent from map type |
VMP |
yes |
- resized to 256 x 256 x 256 voxels - resolution 1mm3 (same as VMR) - if map type unknown, set to t-test - currently only the first map - rescale values, range dependent from map type |
yes |
- data are reoriented to default in NIfTI-coordinate system - cal_max and cal_min set, dependent from map type |
VTC |
yes |
- rescaling to 3mm3 (to isovoxel) |
yes |
- data are reoriented to default in NIfTI-coordinate system - to data type float (32 bit) |

- choice of statistical map type that can be exported possible types: beta weights, x*y, mean corrected sum of squares, multiple regression coefficient, mean time course, auto-correlation of order 1 (when present). Currently, all map types are set in the NIfTI-1 header to 'correlation'. In the next version, this will be improved. |
SRF |

- export of vertex coordinates and triangles to separate files - dim[0] set to '5' |

dim[0] set to '5' dim[5] indicates number of statistical maps supported SMP versions: 1-3 |
Among the currently unsupported features of the NIfTI-1 format are:
- Extensions
- Complex data types, RGB type
- Compressed files
